The event is on Thursday 24 May at 7 pm at the Grassmarket Community Project in Edinburgh.
Leaders of the humanist movement from every continent will be in the room to join the discussion.

This is a fantastic oppourtunity for humanists and secularists in Scotland to learn more about how their efforts are part of an exciting and growling global movement. Come along and listen to some of the experts and front-line campaigners who are leading the fight for a rational, ethical and enlightened world.
The event will be chaired by veteran political journalist and author, Iain Macwhirter. The panel will include:
- Andrew Copson, President of the International Humanist and Ethical Union
- Gulalai Ismail, Founder of Pakistani-based girls right’s organisation Aware Girls
- Bob Scott, Humanist Celebrant and leader of the Scotland-Malawi twinning programme for HSS.
All proceeds from this event will be used to fund IHEU’s important activities, advocating on behalf of humanists and the non-religious, protecting humanists at risk around the world, and supporting the growth and development of new humanist organisations.
